Allison Chase, PhD, CEDS-S, has been working in the field of mental health treatment for over 20 years. Prior to joining Eating Recovery Center/Insight Behavioral Health Center, Dr. Chase was the Principal and Founder of AK Chase & Associates, which she established in Austin in 2003. Dr. Chase’s areas of specialization include child and adolescent mental health issues, the treatment of eating disorders, parental training and education, and family- or team-based therapy.
In addition to serving her patients, Dr. Chase enjoys helping others on a mass scale through presentations and media interviews.
She offers training and ongoing education for other professionals across the U.S., as well as workshops for schools and community organizations. Dr. Chase has also taught undergraduate psychology courses at The University of Texas at Austin since 2001.
Dr. Chase earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of California at San Diego. She earned her Ph.D. in clinical psychology at The University of Texas at Austin and completed residency training in Chicago at Rush University Medical Center, in both the departments of psychology and pediatrics. Dr. Chase completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Austin Child Guidance Center as well.
Robert McFerren, LCSW
Robert McFerren graduated with a Master of Science in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin. He holds an LCSW and is a board approved supervisor for post-graduates working towards their clinical licensure. Prior to joining the team at Insight, Robert was managing a 74-bed neurobehavioral unit at a residential treatment center. He also has experience working with children in the foster care system, with adults and adolescents in acute hospitalization, in the school setting, and in private practice. He has spent much of his career specializing in child/adolescent mental health, specifically working with complex family systems, adolescents who struggle with social or school anxiety, as well as those who are not considered “neurotypical”.
Holly Kinget, MD
Dr. Holly Kinget is a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist for Insight Behavioral Health Center in Round Rock. She is board certified in general and child/adolescent psychiatry. She obtained her medical degree from Our Lady of Fatima University and completed both residency and fellowship training at the University of Mississippi. She served as chief fellow for her fellowship program. Through her work and training in an underserved state, she obtained diverse clinical experience in multiple levels of psychiatric care and patient populations. She enjoys working with families and helping individuals in transition from youth to adulthood.
